ofloxacin
n.
a quinolone antibiotic used to treat urinary-tract and sexually transmitted infections and also infections of the respiratory tract, skin, and eye. It is administered by mouth, infusion, or as eye drops; possible side-effects include nausea, vomiting, and skin rashes.
